Niagara Falls Events

Niagara Falls looks even more spectacular after dark.

Every night, white and colored spotlights illuminate the Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls, to create an ever-changing splash of color.

Illumination schedule:

• January 1 to January 5, 5:00pm - Midnight
• January 6 to February 28, 6:30pm - 10:00pm
• March 1 to March 7, 7:00pm - 10:00pm
• March 8 to March 31, 8:30pm - 10:00pm
• April 1 to April 30, 8:30pm - 11:00pm
• May 1 to August 13, 9:00pm - Midnight
• August 14 to September 30, 8:30pm - Midnight.
• October 1 to October 31,  7:00pm - Midnight
• November 1 to November 6,  6:30pm - Midnight
• November 7 to December 30, 5:00pm - Midnight
• December 31, 5:00pm - 1:00am 

*Note: all times are approximations and subject to change according to light conditions.

**During the months of April the Falls will be illuminated until midnight on Fridays, Saturday and Sundays only. 
 

All summer, we celebrate weekends and national holidays for the US and Canada with an exciting fireworks display above the Falls.

Fireworks shows are:

 Weekly - Fridays, Sundays and Holidays* from May 15 through August 30 at 10:00 p.m.

 Additionally, on Wednesdays during July & August at 10:00 P.M. 

 Fridays only September 4 to October 9 at 10:00 P.M.

*US and Canadian holidays include:

• Victoria Day - May 18
• Memorial Day - May 25   
• Canada Day - July 1  
• Independence Day - July 4   
• Canadian Civic Holiday - August 3
