NOTICE for 2015: Very shortly, Niagara Falls State Park will be implementing automatic parking technology for our two primary lots - The Prospect Parking Lot (Lot 1), on the Mainland and the Cave of the Winds Parking Lot (Lot 2), on Goat Island. The automation will be in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The current fee of $10 to park all day will continue through the peak season. Any vehicles parked overnight will be automatically charged an additional day. The process for parking will be to enter the Lot, pull a Ticket and park in a vacant parking spot. Take the ticket into the Park with you and seek out one of the various Parking Pay Stations prior to getting back the car to leave. In Lot 1 there are two pay stations off the circular walkway on he way to the visitors center. In Lot 2 there are two pay stations located adjacent to the new Welcome Center and one on the path toward the Top of the Falls Restaurant. At a Pay Station, insert your Parking Ticket, pay the fee and take the paid ticket. The machines are in English, but, include pictorials. The machines accept both Credit Cards and US Currency. Upon exiting the Lot, insert the Paid Ticket into the machine locate at the exit gate and the arm will raise allowing you to drive out of the lot. This Exit process is in pictorial form on the ticket as well. The State Parks Empire Passport, Access Pass and Golden Pass programs will continue to be honored. Visitors eligible for these programs will be required to present their ticket, along with qualifying documentation, to a staff member at the lot to have their ticket validated. Visitors may also have their ticket validated for these programs at the Main Visitor Center or Cave of the Winds Center during normal operating hours. The above procedures do NOT apply to buses, recreational vehicles or vehicles with trailers. Such vehicles must utilize Parking Lot 3 located on the east end of Goat Island, which is not automated. Driving to Niagara Falls State Park is a snap, with four parking lots available to easily accommodate park visitors. Each lot is connected to the park’s attractions and lookout points via the Niagara Scenic Trolley system -- experiencing Niagara Falls does not require long walks (although, for those interested, numerous hiking trails are available). The largest capacity Niagara Falls parking lot is Lot 2, located on Goat Island near the entrance to the Cave of the Winds tour and Top of the Falls Restaurant. Parking Lot 3 is also located on Goat Island near Three Sisters Islands; Parking Lot 1 is located on the mainland near the Niagara Falls Visitor Center and Parking Lot 4 is at the Niagara Gorge Discovery Center, just off the northbound Robert Moses Parkway. Thank you for visiting Niagara Falls State Park! We hope you enjoy your stay!
