Terrapin Point

Perched above the mighty Horseshoe Falls on Goat Island, Terrapin Point offers one of the most powerful views in the park. Feel the thunder of the Falls beneath your feet as water rushes toward the brink just steps away. Visitors can relax on the surrounding lawn, enjoy outdoor dining at Top of the Falls Restaurant, or take in the dramatic rapids upstream. Cave of the Winds is just a short walk away.

Stedman’s Bluff

Home to the iconic Nikola Tesla Statue, Stedman’s Bluff provides stunning views of Luna Island, Bridal Veil Falls, and American Falls. Named for early settler John Stedman, this historic overlook combines natural beauty with rich local history and is a favorite spot for photography and reflection.

Luna Island

Stand between the American and Bridal Veil Falls and experience the power of Niagara up close. Surrounded by cascading water dropping more than 175 feet into the gorge below, Luna Island offers a dramatic vantage point and a bird’s-eye view of Cave of the Winds.

Three Sisters Islands

Escape into the serenity of the Three Sisters Islands, where wooden walkways lead you into the Canadian Rapids. No passport required. These peaceful islands offer sweeping upstream views and an intimate look at the river just before it becomes the Falls.

Prospect Point

Overlooking the American Falls, Prospect Point is one of the park’s most iconic viewpoints and home to the Maid of the Mist boat tours. It’s an ideal spot to watch the Falls in action while taking in panoramic views of the river and surrounding landscape.

Schoellkopf Ruins

Ride a free elevator down to the Niagara River’s edge at the site of the former Schoellkopf Power Plant, which collapsed in 1956. Today, visitors can explore remnants of the historic structures along the gorge wall and enjoy river views from the Schoellkopf Ruins Trail. And be sure to stop in at the Aquarium of Niagara where your ticket also gets you into Great Lakes 360!

Whirlpool

Located two miles north of the Schoellkopf Site along Gorgeview and Whirlpool Boulevard, the Whirlpool is one of Western New York’s most scenic natural features. Here, the Niagara River bends sharply, creating a massive whirlpool and powerful Class V rapids. The area offers free parking, multiple trailheads, and access to nearby attractions including the Underground Railroad Heritage Center.

Devil’s Hole

Offering sweeping views of the Niagara River, Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, and New York Power Authority Vista, Devil’s Hole is a gateway to some of the park’s most rugged scenery. Visitors will find free parking, trail access, and nearby cultural attractions including the Castellani Art Museum and Power Vista, a free, family-friendly destination.
