Niagara Falls State Park is more than just water!  There is so much history, lore, ecology and more here that  we occasionally offer hikes or walks and talks that focus on some of the items that make us even more special!  Reservations are strongly encouraged and these events fill quickly.

Gorge Hiking Series: Great Gorge Railway Trail
This hike explores the cultural and natural history of the Upper Great Gorge.

7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Evening Walk on Goat Island
Relax and unwind from the work week while walking around the oldest state park in the United States; Niagara Falls became a park in 1885. Enjoy stories of yesteryears and today. End your walk with fireworks at 10:00 p.m. weather permitting.

American Falls Gorge Trail and 61st Anniversary of the Schoellkopf Disaster
Learn about the history of Schoellkopf Power Station 3. We will take an elevator ride down to the site to see first-hand what remains of this former complex. We will then hike the trails out of the gorge.
